The Chase Studio campus is located on over 1500 acres of oak-hickory woodland bordering Mark Twain National Forest and Bull Shoals Lake in southern Missouri.
1200 acres has been set aside as a biological field station for Missouri State University.
The property is a microcosm of characteristic Ozark habitats, including rich bottomland forests, upland forests with glades and prairie savannas, moist bluffs, spring-fed streams, and a large cave.
The studio houses one of the largest private natural history collections with over a million specimens, extensive photo and illustration archives, and a natural history library with over 1,500 volumes.
